Two Models Of Shark Navigator Lift-Away: NV360 VS NV501. Which One Is Better?

With the desire to improve technology to serve users, Shark has continuously launched different vacuum cleaners to the market, typically the Navigator Lift-Away series with two models: NV360 and NV501.

As can be seen, both Shark NV360 and NV 501 vacuum cleaner models are familiar lines of Shark vacuum cleaners.

In terms of design, function, features... both these models belong to the old line of Shark and as such, they have some similarities. Let's dive in to find out what they really are and which one is better!

1. Dust container

Shark NV360 has a slightly larger dust container capacity than the NV501 model. While the NV360 has a dust container capacity of 1.2 liters dry, the NV501 only holds a maximum of 0.88 dry quarts.

2. Machine weight

The NV360 has a slight improvement in weight, this vacuum cleaner is quite light (about 13 pounds) while the predecessor NV501 weighs more than 2.5 pounds.

3. Power cord

The weak point of the NV360 is that the power cord is quite short (at 25 feet) and the 501 model also has a similar length. This makes it difficult for both types of machines to move away from the power outlet when you want to vacuum in large areas.

4. Vacuum hose length

Because they are the same previous model of Shark, these two models have many similarities, one of which is a vacuum cleaner that is about 8.4 to 8.5 feet long. Both the power cord and the short vacuum hose seem to be common features of previous Navigator Lift-Away models.

5. LED system

In Shark NV501 and Shark NV360 Reviews, although more advanced than NV501, is not equipped with LED lights. The previous 501 series had an LED light system mounted on the floor brush, which helped the sweeper clean more thoroughly and cleanly.

6. House cleaning technologies

The Shark NV501 vacuum is equipped with foam mesh technology and a HEPA filter that can be removed for washing.

Slightly different, the Shark NV360 vacuum cleaner has kept the same HEPA filter but replaced the foam filter with Anti-Allergy Complete Seal technology that filters fine dust and allergens more effectively.

In short, people who used two models will find that there are still some differences between them that are suitable for each use. Another interesting thing is that even though it's the same model, the included accessories will be different depending on where you buy them. Therefore, you should pay attention and ask the seller carefully about the desired accessories to avoid buying the machine but not satisfied with the accessories …

For those who do not have time to read in detail, I quickly list the pros and cons to make it easier for you to understand these two models.

Shark model NV360:

  • Has Lift-Away feature
  • Large dust container capacity
  • Good price
  • HEPA filter, Anti-Allergy Complete Seal technology
  • Cons: does not have the latest Shark technology

Shark model NV501:

  • Reasonable price
  • Good cleaning ability
  • HEPA filter, foam filter
