Hello there!

Nice to e-meet you. I’m Michelle, a designer from Germany, working worldwide. I specialise in the fields of visual communication, brand strategy and identity, as well as UI/UX design. My work is characterised by a holistic and conceptual design approach; keeping the concept at the heart of a project allows me to develop clear and consistent graphic systems across all platforms. Varying in subject and scale, my designs are defined by the balance between timeless and contemporary, simple and bold, conceptual and experimental. My goal is to create distinct visual frameworks that have substance and provide value. I studied at the University of Applied Sciences in Schwäbisch Gmünd and the Tecnológico de Costa Rica, and hold a B.A. in Communication Design. I had the pleasure to work with the design and consulting studio gooder in Berlin and Scandianvia's leading design agency, Bold Scandinavia, for clients like H&M, Zalando and Nordea. At the moment I'm freelancing for both clients and studios and am available for new commissions, short- or long-term.

Services

• Branding: Development of holistic visual identities across all platforms, including brand strategy, development of logos, typography, colour palette, image style etc.
• UI/UX Design: Development of wireframes, UI/UX concepts, designs and prototypes, e.g. for websites or apps
• Communication Design: Development of various applications within the fields of visual communication, e.g. campaigns, marketing material, brochures, flyer etc.

Qualifications

• B.A. degree in Communication Design
• 3 years of experience as freelancer and in design studios for clients like H&M and Zalando
• High proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, as well as Sketch, Principle and Worpress
• Basic knowledge of programming languages such as HTML/CSS/JS and Processing
• Special interest in modern design, trends and technologies
• Ability to think in concepts and across disciplines
• Awareness of the difference between good and great design
• Positive mindset and passion for what I love doing
